In a day and time of high sentiments of entitlement, instant everything from fast food to text messages it is easy to forget the past (and present) struggles that allow us the opportunities that we have. We are all indebted to pay it forward. The best prayer is a good deed and the greatest memorial is through action and becoming a living monument to the best that has come before you and paved the way for you. Too many of us don't even honor our own family journey's because we don't know them but we know all about the latest celebrity scandal or gossip (neighborhood, workplace, school...you choose)...Think about it.

Today is said to be a day to remember those who have sacrificed their lives so that your life can be better. It's impossible to know who is fighting for you and who is fighting against you if you don't have Knowledge of Self, who and what you are and what is good for you. We all must take our sacrifices in order to have or be something greater.
